About Me
👋 Hi, I'm Shijia Qing, pursuing my Master's in Applied Psychology at Sun Yat-sen University, under the supervision of Prof. Guomei Zhou (FaceLab). I'm fascinated by the intersection of psychology and technology, and how our minds adapt to an increasingly intelligent world.
My research explores how people perceive and interact with AI, focusing on the uncanny valley effect, human-computer interaction, and how self-concept and social familiarity shape our responses to intelligent agents.
I enjoy connecting theory and practice—from designing behavioral experiments and developing new measurement tools, to applying computational methods and validating psychological scales.
I also love making research more accessible by developing simple web tools that help online experiments and data collection.
Beyond academia, I've interned at Seasun Games and NetEase Entertainment, where I gained hands-on experience in user research, competitive analysis, and playtesting.
Outside of research, I'm into videogames, video editing (I make Chinese subtitles for F1🏎️ videos!), and literature.
I believe curiosity and steady dedication are the heart of good science—and I'm always open to new ideas and collaborations💪.
